FIFA Sprint and Interval Tests

SOTN's Sprint and Interval Tests

In Tennessee, we use a version of FIFA’s Sprint and Interval Tests for Grade 5 and two modified versions for grade 6 and 7:

  1. Sprint and Interval Tests for State 5 Referees in Tennessee
  2. Sprint and Interval Tests for State 6 Referees in Tennessee and
  3. Sprint and Interval Tests for Officials Centering D1-State-League or Amateur Matches in Tennessee for grades 7, and Emeritus.

These tests are required as indicated here:

  • To upgrade to or to recertify as a grade-5 or 6 referee, a referee must pass the Sprint and Interval Tests for State Referee grade 5 or 6's in Tennessee.
  • To center D1-State-League matches or amateur matches as a grade 7 or Emeritus a referee must have taken one of the below tests for the year in which the matches are centered.
